Reflective Moments by Brenley...

As she waltzes around the house in a pink, sparkly dress humming the song from baby mobiles, she says so sincerely,

"Mamaidh, know what this little flower reminds me of? Remember that little swimming pool I used to have when I was a baby? That..... (And a few seconds later) And my brother... (And a few more seconds later) And it also reminds me of all the people I know who are special to me..." Sigh.
Yes, folks, I somehow managed not to chuckle.

Officially Ticked Off...

Today I got Brenley a Strawberry Shortcake popsicle thing from the freezer. She only ate a bit of it and then declared she wanted a chocolate one instead (Grrrrrr... always happens). I couldn't find the chocolate ones in the freezer, so Kyle kept piping up: "They're in there. On the left! I saw them there yesterday! I'll get you one in a minute, Brenley!"

Well... she went upstairs. I went upstairs. Kyle got to doing something on the computer. Brenley and Madden watched Caillou. The 'minutes' were really ticking by.

After about, oh... 45 minutes or so, Brenley comes out to the porch stairs with her arms folded over her chest and sheepishly states:

Oh yeah. So number one gets me the wrong kind of popsicle and then number two goes ahead and forgets about me!

All I could do was laugh. Then I suggested that she just as sheepishly and with as much attitude, go downstairs and remind number two of what he was going to do! LOL

(Is it good that I'm "Number 1", anyway?)
